The 165-square-mile (430 km2) district is home to nearly 3,600 Pre-K through 12 students and their families. There are three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school (Chisago Lakes High School). All of the district schools also offer a full range of services for students with special needs with access to specialists through the (SCRED). This collaborative allows a smaller district to offer high-level services to special learners. Chisago Lakes School District was voted one of StarTribune's Top 150 Workplaces in 2017.
