The Fountain with a Thousand Amphorae (French: fontaine aux mille amphores) is an archaeological site located in the city of Carthage in Tunisia. Discovered in 1919-1920 by Louis Carton, the site is inaccessible to visitors because it is inside the security zone of the Carthage Palace, the official residence of the president of Tunisia. On a spring developed since the time of Ancient Carthage, the structure was made during the Roman era.

Descubierto entre 1919 y 1920 por el médico y arqueólogo francés ,es inaccesible a los visitantes debido a su ubicación en la zona de seguridad del palacio presidencial tunecino en Cartago. Antes del descubrimiento, el clérigo y también arqueólogo Alfred Louis Delattre había descubierto en las inmediaciones unas 2.000 ánforas, de ahí el nombre del sitio. (es)

Découvert en 1919-1920 par Louis Carton, et après des velléités de mise en valeur touristique, le site se trouve depuis lors dans la zone de sécurité du palais présidentiel de Carthage après les aménagements du secteur dans les années 1960. Selon Jean-Pierre Laporte, la Fontaine est « en principe disparue » après avoir été oubliée très vite après sa découverte. (fr)

L'histoire ancienne du site n'est connue que par l'étude archéologique effectuée lors de la découverte et à l'occasion de la reprise du dossier à la fin des années 2010. Sur une source aménagée dès l'époque punique, un équipement assez complexe a été réalisé à l'époque romaine, appelé « Fontaine » par son inventeur et qui a été interprété au début du XXIe siècle comme étant probablement un nymphée ayant des fonctions non seulement de fourniture d'eau mais aussi religieuses.
