The 1916 Spanish general election was held on Sunday, 9 April (for the Congress of Deputies) and on Sunday, 23 April 1916 (for the Senate), to elect the 16th Cortes of the Kingdom of Spain in the Restoration period. All 409 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election, as well as 180 of 360 seats in the Senate.

(ru) Eleccions generals espanyoles de 1916 foren convocades enmig de la Primera Guerra Mundial, en la que Espanya s'havia declarat neutral, sota sufragi universal masculí. En total foren escollits 409 diputats, i el partit més votat fou la coalició de les dues fraccions del Partit Liberal, dirigides per García Prieto i Romanones. El Partit Conservador va restar força lluny. També es presentà una Conjunció Republicano-Socialista, que aplegava els diferents partits republicans i el PSOE, però no pas els Radicals de Lerroux i la UFNR, que anaven encara plegades pel Pacte de Sant Gervasi (ca) Las elecciones generales de España de 1916 fueron convocadas en medio de la Primera Guerra Mundial, en la que España se había declarado neutral, bajo sufragio masculino. En total fueron elegidos 409 diputados, y el partido más votado fue la coalición de las dos facciones del Partido Liberal, dirigidas por Manuel García Prieto y Romanones. El Partido Liberal-Conservador quedó a 115 escaños de los liberales. También se presentó una Conjunción Republicano-Socialista, que reunía los diferentes partidos republicanos y el PSOE, pero no la Unión Federal Nacionalista Republicana y los radicales de Lerroux, que iban aún unidos por el Pacto de Sant Gervasi.
