The 2018–19 Belgian First Amateur Division was the third season of the third-tier football league in Belgium, as it was established in 2016. While Tessenderlo won the regular season, Virton became champions by virtue of winning the promotion play-offs. Defending champions Knokke finished last and were relegated together with Aalst and Geel. Oudenaarde was also relegated after losing the play-offs with teams from the Belgian Second Amateur Division.

Mais c'est la troisième édition de ce niveau sous l'appellation « Division 1 Amateur ».Cette compétition est de niveau national intégral. Cette appellation curieuse en comparaison des niveaux 4 et 5 de la nouvelle structure pyramidale du football belge à partir de la saison 2016-2017. Ceux-ci sont « nationales mais régionalisés ». Un curieux verbiage venant de la volonté de l'URBSFA de conserver son esprit unitaire et de ne pas, dans les termes, se scinder en « Fédérations régionales » comme d'autres sports ont pu le faire.La Division 1 Amateur est composée de seize clubs issus de toutes les parties du pays.
