Caryl Thain (11 April 1895 – 24 September 1969) was an English cricketer. Thain was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born at Catherington, Hampshire. Thain made his first-class debut for Surrey against Glamorgan in the 1923 County Championship at Cardiff Arms Park. Glamorgan batted first, making 168 all out, with Thain bowling thirteen wicketless overs during their first-innings. Responding in their first-innings, Surrey made 158 all out, with Thain being dismissed for a duck by Frank Ryan. Glamorgan were dismissed for just 35 in their second-innings, with Surrey winning the match by ten wickets.
