A Dahlander motor (also known as a pole changing motor, dual- or two speed-motor) is a type of multispeed induction motor, in which the speed of the motor is varied by altering the number of poles; this is achieved by altering the wiring connections inside the motor. The motor may have fixed or variable torque depending on the stator winding. It is named after its inventor Robert Dahlander (1870–1935).

Voor de tijd dat er frequentieregelingen bestonden (1980) werd er veel gewerkt met de Dahlandermotor. De Dahlandermotor is een variant van een driefasen asynchrone motor of driefasen-inductiemotor of asynchrone elektromotor. As velocidades, que estão relacionadas ao número de rotações no motor, são conseguidas com a estruturação dos enrolamentos do estator deste motor em dois conjuntos promovendo uma relação de 1:2. Ou seja, em uma forma de ligação o número de pólos é duas vezes maior que a outra. Apesar de já se ter grande desenvolvimento de equipamentos auxiliares para a variação da velocidade de motores elétricos, o uso do Motor Dahlander ainda é viável economicamente para aplicações onde se deseja apenas uma mudança discreta das velocidades.
