The Deseret Manufacturing Company (/ˌdɛzəˈrɛt/) was an unsuccessful venture by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1850s to process sugar beets into refined sugar. A test factory was established in an area that is now known as Sugar House, Utah.
