| - Die Expo 98 war eine vom Bureau International des Expositions anerkannte Weltausstellung, die vom 22. Mai bis zum 30. September 1998 in Lissabon (Portugal) stattfand. Die Weltausstellung, die erste in Portugal und die vierte (1888 Barcelona, 1929 Barcelona, 1992 Sevilla) auf der Iberischen Halbinsel, stand unter dem Motto Os oceanos: um património para o futuro, zu Deutsch „Die Ozeane: Ein Erbe für die Zukunft“. - Expo 98 var en världsutställning i Lissabon 1998. Utställningen innehöll bland annat en 30 meter hög linbana som gick tvärs över området. Utställningen invigdes 21 maj 1998, med fyrverkerier och musik, medan laserljus lyste upp natthimlen. I samband med utställningen invigdes också Vasco da Gama-bron i mars samma år. (sv)

- L'Expo '98, o Exposició Internacional del 1998, el tema de la qual va ser «els oceans: un patrimoni per al futur», va ser una Exposició Internacional Especialitzada regulada per l'Ofician Internacional d'Exposicions, que va tenir lloc a Lisboa, a Portugal, del 22 de maig fins al 20 de setembre del 1998. El tema volia retre homenatge a tots els exploradors portuguesos que van participar en la descoberta de nous continents durant les exploracions de l'època moderna. Tematem przewodnim tej wystawy było hasło: Oceany, dziedzictwo dla przyszłości. Tereny wystawowe zlokalizowano w północnej części miasta, Parque das Nações (pol. Park Narodów), nad rzeką Tag. Swoje ekspozycje przedstawiło 145 krajów. 2 czerwca 1998 w inauguracji „Dnia Polskiego” na wystawie uczestniczył prezydent RP Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
