| - "Head over Heels" is a song recorded by British band Tears for Fears for their second studio album Songs from the Big Chair (1985). The song was released by Mercury Records, as the album's fourth single – initially on 10 June 1985 in Germany and then on 14 June in the UK. It was the band's tenth single release in the United Kingdom and eighth top 40 hit in the region, peaking at number 12. In the United States, it was the third single from the album and continued the band's run of hits there, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A limited edition four-leaf-clover-shaped picture disc was issued for the single's release in the UK. The song was also an international success, reaching the top 40 in several countries. (en)
- Head over Heels est une chanson du groupe Tears for Fears de leur album Songs from the Big Chair de 1985. Elle a atteint le numéro 3 du palmarès de Billboard Hot 100. Selon le chanteur Roland Orzabal, c'est essentiellement une chanson d'amour romantique et l'une des pistes les plus simples que Tears for Fears ait jamais enregistrées. Sur certaines versions de l'album Songs from the Big Chair, la chanson apparait accolée à la version live du titre Broken. En effet, ces deux titres partagent le même motif musical au piano. Er is maar liefst twee jaar gewerkt aan dit nummer voordat het uiteindelijk wordt uitgebracht als single. "Head over Heels" werd in een aantal landen een hit, maar wist het succes van "Shout" en "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" niet te evenaren. Het nummer haalde de 12e positie in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. In Nederland bleef het steken op de 12e positie in de Tipparade, en in de Vlaamse Radio 2 Top 30 haalde het de 18e positie. (nl)
