| - Huperzia és un gènere de plantes vasculars sense llavors de la família de les licopodiàcies. Aquests gènere tradicionalment ha estat inclòs dins el gènere Lycopodium, però la tendència actual en els tractaments sistemàtics més recents, ha estat per fer-ne un gènere separat, fins i tot en la seva pròpia família (Huperziaceae). El gènere està dedicat al botànic (mort el 1816) que va estudiar la propagació de les falgueres. A Catalunya trobem una única espècie, Huperzia selago (= Lycopodium selago). (ca)

This genus was originally included in the related genus Lycopodium, from which it differs in having undifferentiated sporangial leaves, and the sporangia not formed into apical cones. The common name firmoss, used for some of the north temperate species, refers to their superficial resemblance to branches of fir (Abies), a conifer. W wąskim ujęciu (w systemie PPG I z 2016) obejmuje 25 gatunków (w niektórych ujęciach liczba gatunków zmniejszana jest do 10–15). Są to rośliny naziemne, czasem też naskalne, rosnące w strefie klimatu umiarkowanego i arktycznego oraz w górach w strefie międzyzwrotnikowej. Zasiedlają zwykle lasy i siedliska w strefie alpejskiej.
