Pese a ser una de las bandas menos reconocidas de la escena conocida como "Bay Area", y de no haber obtenido las ventas millonarias de bandas como Metallica, Megadeth o Slayer, cada disco lanzado por la agrupación ha gozado de reseñas positivas de la crítica especializada. - I Lääz Rockit sono un gruppo musicale thrash metal formatosi a Berkeley nel 1982. Il gruppo prese il nome dal film Cielo di piombo, ispettore Callaghan, in cui viene utilizzato un M72 LAW.Si tratta di un lanciarazzi apparso in questa pellicola con l'acronimo LAWS, che in inglese americano ha la stessa pronucia di Laaz, mentre Rockit ha la medesima assonanza di rocket, cioè razzo. La band fu una delle prime provenienti dalla Bay Area di San Francisco a pubblicare un album speed/thrash metal, registrando il disco d'esordio nel 1983. (it)

- Lääz Rockit (englische Aussprache ohne Heavy-Metal-Umlaute) ist eine US-amerikanische Heavy-Metal-Band. Die Band wurde 1982 von Michael Coons und Aaron Jellum in der kalifornischen Stadt Berkeley gegründet. Nachdem sie einige Auftritte mit verschiedenen Musikern hatten, stießen 1983 Gitarrist Phil Kettner und Schlagzeuger Victor Agnello zur Band. Im selben Jahr trat auch Bassist der Band bei. Mit dieser Besetzung nahm die Band vier Alben auf. Ebenfalls 1983 unterschrieb die Band einen Plattenvertrag bei und 1984 veröffentlichten Lääz Rockit ihr erstes Album City’s Gonna Burn. (de)
