  • Lycée français Charles Lepierre is an international school in Lisbon, Portugal. The medium of instruction is French. In 1907, a French-medium school was opened on Rua da Emenda by the Société de l’École Française de Lisbonne.In 1917 the school moved to in the near , purchased that year by the Société de l’École Française de Lisbonne. In 1952, the school moved to its current location. The school is named after Professor (1867-1945), a chemical engineer who graduated from the , who was a student of Pierre Curie and who moved to Portugal in 1888. He was a University Professor at Coimbra University initially, at the micro-biology laboratory, then at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. His areas of research were chemistry, micro-biology and public health. He was responsible for founding the first industrial chemical engineering course in Portugal. The school belongs to the system of schools managed by the Agence pour l’Enseignement du Français à l’Étranger (AEFE) under the French foreign ministry. The school follows the official instructions of France's Ministry of National Education. (en)

XIX um Liceu Francês, no Palácio Almada], no Rossio, foi criada uma escola francesa de ensino secundário, em 1907, na Rua da Emenda pela Société de l'École Française de Lisbonne. Em 1917, a escola mudou-se para o Pátio do Tijolo, no , perto do Largo do Rato, adquirida naquele ano pela Société de l'École Française de Lisbonne. Em 1952, a escola mudou-se para a sua localização atual. A escola recebeu o nome do professor Charles Lepierre (1867-1945), engenheiro químico formado pela École de Physique et Chimie Industrielle de Paris, estudante de Pierre Curie e que se mudou para Portugal em 1888. A escola pertence ao sistema internacional de escolas gerido pela Agência para o Ensino Francês no Estrangeiro (AEFE) do Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros francês. O liceu tem o estatuto de EGD (Etablissement em Gestion Directe), ou seja, é gerido diretamente pela AEFE que nomeia a administração. A escola segue as instruções oficiais do Ministério da Educação Nacional de França. A 27 de fevereiro de 2003, foi agraciado com o grau de Membro-Honorário da Ordem do Mérito. (pt)
