| - Als Saubere Wehrmacht (auch umschrieben mit Legende oder Mythos der sauberen Wehrmacht) wird in der jüngeren historischen Forschung ein Narrativ bezeichnet, das in den ersten Jahren der Bundesrepublik Deutschland von ehemaligen Wehrmachtsangehörigen konstruiert wurde. Es wird, obwohl wissenschaftlich unhaltbar, bis heute von Traditionsverbänden und politisch rechtsgerichteten Autoren propagiert. Darin wird die Wehrmacht als von der Ideologie des Nationalsozialismus unbeeinflusst und als vom NS-Staat getrennte, unpolitische Einrichtung dargestellt. Verbrechen der Wehrmacht werden bestritten oder relativiert. Stattdessen wird ihre militärische Leistung hervorgehoben. (de)

Mit zaprzecza winie niemieckiego dowództwa wojskowego w planowaniu i przygotowywaniu zbrodni wojennych. Nawet tam, gdzie popełniono zbrodnie wojenne i prowadzono wojnę eksterminacyjną, szczególnie na froncie wschodnim – gdzie naziści postrzegali Słowian jako „podludzi” rządzonych przez „żydowskich bolszewików” – przypisuje się te zbrodnie „partyjnym żołnierzom”, głównie oddziałom Schutzstaffel (SS), a nie regularnemu niemieckiemu wojsku. O mito nega a culpabilidade do comando do exército alemão de planejar ou participar dos crimes contra a humanidade perpetrados pelos nazistas.
