Notosuchus (/noʊtəˈsuːkəs/; 'southern crocodile') is an extinct genus of South American notosuchian crocodylomorph. It was terrestrial, living approximately 85 million years ago in the Santonian stage of the Late Cretaceous.

Notosuchus (griechisch: „Krokodilgott des Südens“; notos= „Süden“; suchus= „Sobek“) ist eine ausgestorbene Gattung der Crocodylomorpha aus der Gruppe der Notosuchia. Fossilien wurden in der in Argentinien gefunden und auf die Oberkreide vor etwa 86 bis 83 Millionen Jahre datiert. Notosuchus lebte terrestrisch, das bedeutet, dass es auf dem Land lebte. Arthur Smith Woodward beschrieb Notosuchus im Jahr 1896; er war dabei der erste bekannte Notosuchia. Die Typusart ist Notosuchus terrestris. Eine weitere Art, Notosuchus lepidus, wurde 1957 von Saez beschrieben. (de)
