| - Le brigadier-général Paul Triquet, VC, CD ( 2 avril 1910 - 8 août 1980) est un militaire canadien natif de Cabano au Québec décoré de la croix de Victoria pour ses faits d'armes pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale alors qu'il avait le grade de capitaine. Il fut le second militaire du Canada à recevoir la croix de Victoria durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et le premier à la recevoir durant la campagne d'Italie. (fr)
- Brigadier-General Paul Triquet VC, CD, (April 2, 1910–August 8, 1980), born in Cabano, Quebec, was a Canadian recipient of the Victoria Cross (VC), the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Triquet held the rank of captain at the time of his VC award, and went on to achieve the rank of brigadier-general. Triquet was the only Quebecer to be awarded the VC during the Second World War.
