The Peasants' War in Upper Austria (German: Oberösterreichischer Bauernkrieg) was a rebellion led by farmers in 1626 whose goal was to free Upper Austria from Bavarian rule. The motive (found in the Frankenburger Würfelspiel of 1625) was an escalation of the Bavarian Electorate's attempt to press the country into the Catholic faith at the time of the Thirty Years' War.

Im Gegensatz zu den Bauernaufständen 1525 und dem Zweiten Oberösterreichischen Bauernaufstand zwischen 1595 und 1597, bei denen vor allem sozialrevolutionäre Beweggründe im Vordergrund standen, richtete sich der Aufstand in erster Linie gegen die Gegenreformation und die bayerische Besatzung. Był to konflikt, który w przeciwieństwie do wojny chłopskiej w Niemczech z roku 1525 oraz tzw. drugiego zrywu chłopskiego w Austrii w latach 1595–1597 swój nacisk kładł nie na sprawy socjalne czy też rewolucyjne, lecz skierowany był przeciwko kontrreformacji i bawarskim rządom w Górnej Austrii. Przyczyną wojny stało się postępowanie bawarskiego namiestnika , który surowo rozprawił się z pastorami protestanckimi. (pl)
