In vierjähriger Arbeit wurde der Film in zehn Ländern der Welt gedreht. Hierbei werden anhand von Projekten Konzepte für die verschiedensten Länder und Lebensbereiche vorgeschlagen. Der Film enthält unter anderem Beiträge vom Friedensnobelpreisträger Muhammad Yunus und vom nur wenige Monate später, im Oktober 2010 verstorbenen Träger des Right Livelihood Award Hermann Scheer. Muestra la visión de una sociedad mundial, que vive en un mundo donde la energía se produce al , que muestra una reconstrucción completa de la economía, para alcanzar este objetivo. La producción de la película duró cuatro años y fue financiada por voluntarios. Las partes de la película se hicieron en 10 países diferentes, mostrando proyectos pioneros existentes en las diferentes culturas: desde la visión del Premio Nobel de la Paz Muhammed Yunus y sus microcréditos, más de las visiones del laureado con el Premio al Sustento Bien Ganado Hermann Scheer de a las empresas que trabajan duro para convertir en realidad todas estas visiones. La película se estrenó en los cines de Alemania el 18 de marzo de 2010 y tuvo su lanzamiento estadounidense en el de marzo de 2011. En el tráiler alemán de la película, se destacó la revolución en la propiedad capitalista de los recursos energéticos; Hermann Scheer dice que "en lugar de unos pocos propietarios tendremos cientos de miles ..." y que el "suministro de energía recibirá una democratización". La película encarna el pensamiento de Hermann Scheer antes de su repentina muerte en 2010. (es)

Production took four years and was financed by individuals. Parts of the film were made in 10 different countries, showing existing pioneer projects in different cultures, from those funded by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammed Yunus through micro-credit, to the vision of the Right Livelihood Award laureate Hermann Scheer of Eurosolar, to modern businesses working in the renewable energy sector. The film launched in cinemas in Germany March 18, 2010 and had its U.S. premiere at the San Francisco Green Film Festival in March 2011. In the German trailer to the film, the revolution in capitalist ownership of energy resources is stressed; Hermann Scheer says that "instead of a few owners we will have hundreds of thousands..." and "energy supply will be democratized". The film embodies the philosophy of Hermann Scheer, who died in 2010. (en)
