The Association of Regulators of Western Europe (WENRA), created on 4 February 1999, is an association of agencies or regulatory agencies in the field of nuclear countries of Western Europe (including Switzerland). WENRA want to be a European network of chief regulators of EU countries with nuclear power plants (and Switzerland as well as of other interested European countries which have been granted observer status) to improve nuclear safety.

  • Créée en février 1999, l'Association des autorités de sûreté nucléaire des pays d’Europe de l’Ouest (WENRA - Western European Nuclear Regulators Association) est une association indépendante, d'organismes de réglementation nucléaire nationaux (à l'origine d'Europe de l'Ouest), reconnue pour établir, mettre en œuvre et diffuser des niveaux de sûreté nucléaire harmonisés et exemplaires. Au niveau européen, WENRA promeut l'harmonisation des réglementations nationales de sûreté nucléaire entre ses membres.
