The Yazidi Black Book (Kurdish: Mishefa Reş) is one of two books written in the style of a holy book of the Yazidis in their native Kurmanji (Northern Kurdish) tongue, the other being the Yazidi Book of Revelation (Kitēba jilwe). The authenticity of these two books has been questioned. Dr. Frederick Forbes visited Sinjar in 1838 and ascribed the authorship of the Yazidi Black Book to Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir. It is believed that the content of the Yazidi Black Book is a fusion of authentic Yazidi traditions and beliefs with Western forgeries.

- Il Libro Nero o Mishefa Res (in curdo Maṣḥaf-i Räš) è uno dei due testi religiosi dello Yazidismo (l'altro è il "Libro della Manifestazione"). Gli yazidi credono che il Libro Nero ebbe origine non appena l'angelo Melek Ṭāʾūs discese da una montagna. Come il Libro della Rivelazione, anche il Libro Nero è scritto in kurmanji, un dialetto della lingua curda. Più lungo dell'altro testo yazidi, il Libro Nero narra della creazione, durante la quale si originarono Melek Ṭāʾūs e un uovo cosmico, dal quale sarebbe nato il nostro universo particolare. (it)
