The LAV II Bison and Coyote are armoured cars (or armoured personnel carriers) built by General Dynamics Land Systems Canada for the Canadian Forces.It is based on the Mowag Piranha 8x8. Bison vehicles have also been used (to a lesser extent) by the Australian Army and the US National Guard.

En service depuis 1996, le Coyote est une génération postérieure de l'AVGP canadien à six roues, également développé à partir du Piranha. Il est d'une famille similaire et de la même génération que le Biso (fr) Coyote – kanadyjski kołowy wóz rozpoznawczy w układzie 8x8 bazujący na szwajcarskim KTO Piranha II. Wprowadzony na wyposażenie Canadian Army w 1996 roku. Coyote został zaprojektowany jako ośmiokołowy pojazd dla kanadyjskich jednostek rozpoznawczych. Zastąpił wcześniej używane pojazdy AVGP Cougar. Pojazd bazuje na transporterze Piranha II. Kadłub wykonano ze spawanych płyt. Pancerz został wzmocniony w porównaniu do swojego poprzednika. Chroni przed pociskami małokalibrowej broni palnej oraz odłamkami min i pocisków artyleryjskich. (pl)
