A new area of study in the field of Artificial Intelligence & Data Management was added to this list in 2021. All degree programmes of Breda University of Applied Sciences (abbreviated to BUas) are taught in English and a number of programmes are also offered in Dutch. Students are encouraged to go abroad on placements or exchanges. The English-taught programmes are attended by students from a wide range of countries. This helps to look at issues from different perspectives and consequently come up with innovative solutions. Many lecturers have an international background and, in addition to teaching, often hold positions in the industry in which they teach, or they carry out research for BUas. This research – in which BUas works together with government bodies, educational partners and research institutes – has an interdisciplinary as well as a practice-oriented character. Breda University of Applied Sciences has more than half a century of experience in practice-oriented higher education and international cooperation. It is the world’s largest university of applied sciences in the fields of tourism, leisure and hospitality.
