- Een cokathedraal is een kerkgebouw dat samen met een andere kathedraal de functie heeft van zetelkerk van de bisschop. Een dergelijke situatie komt voor waar in het verleden bisdommen zijn samengevoegd. De hoofdkerk die als bisschopszetel wordt aangewezen wordt vervolgens kathedraal van het nieuwe bisdom en de voormalige hoofdkerk van het toegevoegde bisdom wordt een cokathedraal. (nl)
- A co-cathedral is a cathedral church which shares the function of being a bishop's seat, or cathedra, with another cathedral, often in another city (usually a former see, anchor city of the metropolitan area or the civil capital). Instances of this occurred in England before the Protestant Reformation in the dioceses of 'Bath and Wells', and of 'Coventry and Lichfield'. These two dioceses were each named for both cities that served as bishop's seats. As of March 2020, the Catholic Church had 322 co-cathedrals, mainly in Europe (140 in Italy alone). (en)
- Una iglesia concatedral, por substantivación, concatedral o cocatedral es un templo cristiano que tiene rango de iglesia catedral, compartiendo la condición de sede o cátedra del obispo —lugar desde donde cada obispo preside y guía a la comunidad, enseñando la vida de fe y la doctrina de la Iglesia— con otro templo catedralicio. El rango es una concesión dada por la Santa Sede y posee todos los derechos y privilegios de las iglesias catedrales, los cuales tienen un profundo sentido pastoral.

- Une église cocathédrale ou, par substantivation, une cocathédrale est, dans l'Église catholique, une église à laquelle le Saint-Siège a concédé — ou reconnu — le rang de cathédrale, et au sein de laquelle se trouve, en conséquence, une cathèdre, siège de l'évêque diocésain, alors qu'elle n'est pas — ou plus — le siège d'un diocèse. Hors l'Église catholique, l'Église d'Angleterre, depuis 2014, a trois cocathédrales ; Bradford, Ripon et Wakefield.
