Pierwsze zapiski o męczeństwie Febronii znajdujemy w syryjskim opowiadniu (Passio) zredagowanym na przełomie V i VI wieku. Według współczesnych badaczy przekaz ten jest najprawdopodobniej fikcyjny, bez wartości historycznej. (pl)
