John Graysmark (26 March 1935 – 10 October 2010) was a British production designer. He was nominated for two Academy Awards in the category Best Art Direction. Graysmark was involved with film from an early age, through his father, who was construction co-ordinator at Elstree Studios. Graysmark attended a specialist building and architectural school from the age of 13, then worked in architecture for fiveyears. At the age of 21, through his father, Graysmark found work on his first film, Anastasia, as a draughtsman.
