Reuben O. Davis (January 18, 1813 – October 14, 1890) was a United States representative from Mississippi. Born in Winchester, Tennessee into a family of Welsh origin, he moved with his parents to Alabama about 1818. His grandfather Joseph Davis was born in Wales in 1763 and emigrated to Virginia. Reuben Davis attended the public schools. Later, he studied medicine, but practiced only a few years, when he abandoned the profession. He then studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1834, and commenced practice in Aberdeen, Mississippi.

  • Reuben Davis (Winchester, 18 gennaio 1813 – Huntsville, 14 ottobre 1890) è stato un politico e avvocato statunitense.Fu membro del Congresso degli Stati Uniti d'America dal 1857 al 1861, allo scoppio della guerra di secessione divenne maggiore generale dell'esercito confederato per poi sedere al Parlamento Confederato. Sconfitto al 26º Congresso nelle primarie Whig del 1838, nel 1842 fu nominato giudice dell'Alta Corte d'Appello del Mississippi, ma si dimise dopo quattro mesi. Prestò inoltre servizio nell'Esercito confederato con il grado di brigadier generale. (it)
