- Tipoe's Tijger is een 18e-eeuws mechanisch kunstwerk gemaakt voor Tipoe Sultan van Mysore. Het gaat om een geverfd houten beeld met binnenin een mechanisch miniatuurorgel dat het gebrul van een tijger nabootst. Het kunstwerk verbeeldt een Europese officier van de East India Company die wordt aangevallen door een tijger. Het kunstwerk van omstreeks 1790 wordt tentoongesteld in het Victoria and Albert Museum in Londen. Dichter John Keats verwees naar dit kunstwerk in zijn bundel The Cap and Bells. (nl)

Créé pour le sultan Tipû Sâhib de Mysore en 1790, il est conservé au Victoria and Albert Museum à Londres. Le motif du tigre est souvent vu dans les objets faits pour Tipû, comme son trône. The carved and painted wood casing represents a tiger savaging a near life-size European man. Mechanisms inside the tiger and man's bodies make one hand of the man move, emit a wailing sound from his mouth and grunts from the tiger.
