Tracy Potter (born June 23, 1950) is an American historian, politician and member of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party. He represented District 35 in the North Dakota Senate from 2006 to 2010 and was the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in 2010 and for Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2012. From 1993 to 2015, he served as executive director of The Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation. Potter is married to Laura Anhalt and has 2 children.
