| - 联合太平洋铁路4014号机车是一台巨人號蒸汽机车,也是目前世界上最大的现役蒸汽机车。该机车由位于纽约州斯克内克塔迪的美国机车公司(ALCO)为联合太平洋铁路制造,1941年11月下线,自那时起便和其它24台同型蒸汽机车共同担当翻越瓦萨奇山脉的货列的牵引任务,直至1959年。1961年,机车退役,并被联合太平洋铁路赠予铁路和机车历史协会。此后,机车于加州波莫纳的展出。2013年,联合太平洋铁路重新购得该机车,并在位于怀俄明州夏延的一处蒸汽机车整备设施内对其展开修复。时值第一条横贯大陆铁路落成150周年之际,2019年5月1日,机车在停用59年后再度自轮运行。目前该机车担当旅游专列的牵引任务。 (zh)
- L'Union Pacific 4014 est une locomotive à vapeur articulée à quatre-cylindres, de disposition de roues 4-8-8-4 selon la classification américaine Whyte, et appelée Big Boy. Construite en 1941 par l'American Locomotive Company (ALCO) à Schenectady, New York, la locomotive appartient et est exploitée par l'Union Pacific Railroad. - Union Pacific 4014, also known as the "Big Boy", is a steam locomotive owned and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) as part of their heritage fleet. It is a four-cylinder simple articulated 4-8-8-4 "Big Boy" type built in 1941 by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) at its Schenectady Locomotive Works. It was assigned to haul heavy freight trains in the Wasatch mountain range. The locomotive was retired from revenue service in 1959 and was donated to the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society; thereafter, it was displayed in Fairplex at the RailGiants Train Museum in Pomona, California.
