White Dwarf is a 1995 American made-for-television science fiction film directed by Peter Markle and starring Paul Winfield, Neal McDonough, CCH Pounder, Beverley Mitchell, David St. James, Ele Keats, and James Morrison. It was written by Bruce Wagner and produced by Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Halmi Sr. and Bruce Wagner for American Zoetrope. Originally intended as a television pilot, the film first aired on the Fox Network on May 23, 1995. While expected to be well received, the film instead garnered generally negative reception. Negative reception notwithstanding, the project received a 1995 ASC Awards nomination for 'Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography'.
