- "Omaha" the Cat Dancer is an erotic comic strip and later comic book created by artist Reed Waller and writer Kate Worley. Set in fictional Mipple City, Minnesota (derived from "MPLS", the old postal abbreviation for Minneapolis) in a universe populated by anthropomorphic animal characters, the strip is a soap opera focusing on Omaha, a feline exotic dancer, and her lover, Chuck, the son of a business tycoon. - Omaha : Danseuse féline (anglais : « “Omaha” the Cat Dancer ») est une série de bande dessinée animalière érotique créée par l'Américain Reed Waller et publiée à partir de 1978. Après quelques épisodes épars, Waller en confie l'écriture à son épouse (en) : 20 comic books sont publiés chez Kitchen Sink Press puis Fantagraphics de 1986 à leur séparation en 1995. De 2002 au décès de Worley en 2004 ils ont réalisé quelques nouveaux épisodes. Waller a ensuite achevé la série à partir des notes de celles-ci dans la revue Sizzle. NBM Publishing en a publié une intégrale en huit volumes entre 2005 et 2013. La série a été traduite en français par (1992-1993) puis Tabou (2009-2016). (fr)
- Omaha è una personaggio immaginario protagonista di una serie a fumetti di genere erotico, "Omaha" the Cat Dancer, creata da Reed Waller e da Kate Worley. La serie esordì negli Stati Uniti d'America nel 1978 su una fanzine ma venne poi pubblicata su numerose riviste di fumetti underground dalla fine degli anni settanta ai primi anni ottanta; venne poi pubblicata su una testata omonima pubblicata dal 1984 al 1993 dalla Kitchen Sink Press per poi essere rilanciata dalla Fantagraphics Books nel 1995; gli ultimi capitoli della trama sono stati pubblicati sulla rivista Sizzle, a partire dal 2006. Worley foi indicada ao Eisner Award de "Melhor Escritora" em 1991 por seu trabalho na série, indicada ao Eisner Awards de "Melhor Série em Preto-e-Branco" em 1989 e em 1991.
