The 2000 United States presidential election in New York took place on November 7, 2000 as part of the 2000 United States presidential election. Voters chose 33 representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president. As of the 2020 presidential election, this is the last election in which the Democratic candidate won Montgomery County (the only county last won by a Democrat in this election that had no ties to the South, Appalachia, or the Southern-influenced Ohio River Valley).
