- Der NHL Entry Draft 2002, die jährliche Talentziehung der National Hockey League, fand am 22. und 23. Juni 2002 im Air Canada Centre im kanadischen Toronto in der Provinz Ontario statt. Es wurden 291 Spieler in neun Runden gezogen. Etwas überrascht waren die Experten, als nicht Jay Bouwmeester, sondern Rick Nash als Erster im Draft gezogen wurde. Die Columbus Blue Jackets hatten ihr Draftrecht an dritter Stelle gegen das Wahlrecht der Florida Panthers eingetauscht, um Nash wählen zu können. Die Panthers konnten Bouwmeester dennoch als dritten Spieler ziehen. Im Allgemeinen ist der Draftjahrgang als einer der weniger talentierten einzuordnen. (de)

- The 2002 NHL Entry Draft was the 40th NHL Entry Draft. It was held on June 22 and 23, 2002 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Two hundred and ninety-one players were drafted in total: 35 from the Ontario Hockey League (OHL); 23 from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL); 43 from the Western Hockey League (WHL); 41 from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) hockey conferences; six from U.S. high schools and 110 from outside North America. - L'NHL Entry Draft 2002 è stato il 40º draft della National Hockey League. Si è tenuto il 22 ed il 23 giugno 2002 presso l'Air Canada Centre di Toronto. L'NHL Entry Draft ritornò nella città di Toronto per la prima volta dopo l'edizione del 1985, e dal 1999 la prima scelta assoluta ritornò ad essere un giocatore canadese. La scelta numero 123, il ceco Robin Kovář, fu successivamente invalidata poiché il giocatore non aveva i requisiti per essere selezionato quell'anno. - 2002 NHL Entry Draft var den 40:e NHL-draften. Den ägde rum 22–23 juni 2002 i Air Canada Centre som ligger i Toronto, Ontario, Kanada. Columbus Blue Jackets var först ut att välja spelare och de valde Rick Nash. Finländske målvakten Kari Lehtonen valdes av Atlanta Thrashers som andre spelare totalt medan den kanadensiske backen Jay Bouwmeester valdes av Florida Panthers som tredje spelare. (sv)
