The 2008 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 118th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887. The draw for the 2008 fixtures took place in August 2008. The championship began on 13 September 2008 and ended on 19 October 2008. Loughmore-Castleiney were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Toomevara in the semi-final.
