- General elections were held in Guyana on 28 November 2011. The result was a victory for the People's Progressive Party, which won 32 of the 65 seats. Thus even though the combined parliamentary opposition, consisting of the A Partnership for National Unity coalition (APNU) and the Alliance for Change (AFC), managed to secure an absolute majority of 33 seats, as they had not run as a single list it was Donald Ramotar of the PPP (the largest single party) who assumed the presidency, and not David A. Granger of the PNC (which heads the opposition). (en)
- Le elezioni parlamentari in Guyana del 2011 si tennero il 28 novembre per il rinnovo dell'Assemblea nazionale. A seguito dell'esito elettorale, Donald Ramotar è stato eletto Presidente, mentre Sam Hinds è stato confermato Primo ministro. (it)
- Парламентские выборы в Гайане прошли 28 ноября 2011 года. На них избиралось 65 депутатов Национальной ассамблеи Гайаны. В результате победу одержала Народная прогрессивная партия, которая получила 32 из 65 мест. - Las elecciones generales de Guyana de 2011 tuvieron lugar el 28 de noviembre del mencionado año, decimoterceras bajo sufragio universal y novenas desde la independencia del país, con el objetivo de renovar los 65 escaños del Parlamento unicameral, denominado Asamblea Nacional, que a su vez se encargaría de investir al presidente de la República Cooperativa para un período no mayor a cinco años. Simultáneamente, se renovaron los diez Consejos Democráticos Regionales de las distintas subdivisiones de primer orden del país. (es)
