The Bahia gubernatorial election was held on 5 October 2014 to elect the next Governor of the state of Bahia. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, a second-round runoff election will be held on 26 October. Governor Jaques Wagner is ineligible to run due to term limits (eight years). In a stunning upset, the PT nominee Rui Costa won the election with 54.5% of valid votes against 37.3% of Paulo Souto in the first-round.

Foram eleitos o governador, o vice-governador, um senador, 39 deputados federais e 63 estaduais. Caso nenhum dos candidatos a governador recebesse mais da metade do votos válidos, um segundo turno seria realizado em 26 de outubro. Pela Constituição, o governador seria eleito para um mandato de quatro anos que se iniciou em 1.º de janeiro de 2015. Naquele ano a disputa pelo Palácio de Ondina aconteceu sob o contexto da sucessão do governador Jaques Wagner. Na eleição para senador estava em jogo a cadeira de João Durval Carneiro. (pt)
