Η πρώτη φάση ήταν η κανονική περίοδος όπου οι ομάδες αγωνίστηκαν σε δύο γύρους. Στη δεύτερη φάση, οι έξι πρώτες ομάδες της βαθμολογίας αγωνίστηκαν στα πλέι οφ για την ανάδειξη του πρωταθλητή συλλόγου, οι τέσσερις τελευταίες (9-12) αγωνίστηκαν στα πλέι άουτ για την αποφυγή του υποβιβασμού, ενώ οι ομάδες που κατέλαβαν τις θέσεις 7 και 8 παρέμειναν στην Α1 χωρίς περαιτέρω αγωνιστικές υποχρεώσεις. Πρωταθλητής αναδείχθηκε για 4η συνεχόμενη χρονιά και 30η στην ιστορία του, ο Ολυμπιακός, επικρατώντας με 3-0 νίκες της Βουλιαγμένης στους τελικούς. Μετά τους αγώνες των πλέι άουτ στην Α2 υποβιβάστηκαν ΓΣ Ηλιούπολης και ΝΕ Πατρών. (el) La A1 Ethniki 2015-2016 è l'85ª edizione della massima divisione del campionato greco maschile di pallanuoto. Le squadre partecipanti sono dodici, e si affrontano nel classico girone all'italiana con partite di andata e ritorno. A questa fase seguono i playoff per la conquista del titolo a cui prendono parte le prime sei squadre in classifica dopo la conclusione della stagione regolare. Le ultime quattro svolgono i playout per evitare la retrocessione, a cui sono condannate le due squadre perdenti. (it)
