Civil unrest occurred in Mong Kok, Hong Kong from the night of 8 February 2016 until the following morning. The incident escalated from the government's crackdown on unlicensed street hawkers during the Chinese New Year holidays. Eventual violent clashes broke out between police and protesters, resulting in injuries on both sides.

(fr) 2016年香港旺角騒乱（2016ねんホンコンおうかくそうらん）とは、2016年2月8日深夜から9日早朝にかけて、香港九竜の繁華街旺角で起きた香港と地元警察の衝突である。支持者は“魚蛋革命”と呼んでいる一方、香港特別行政区政府は“暴動”と呼んでいる。ネイザンロードという旺角の主な幹線道で、屋台の取り締まりがきっかけで、露天商に支持した過激本土派の若者らが、歩道の煉瓦を投げつけ、街頭の標識を倒し、ゴミ箱に火をつけたり警察に投げたりした。警察側は一時空に向かって二発、威嚇発砲した。 9日朝までにほぼ鎮圧され、参加者と警察と地元テレビカメラマンなど合わせて44人が負傷し、デモ参加者ら24人が拘束された。 (ja) 2016年旺角騷亂，亦稱旺角暴動、旺角暴乱、旺角衝突、旺角大衝突、魚蛋革命、魚蛋騷亂、旺角大起義、旺角事件等。另外，由於當年事發時是在丙申年，因此也有人稱之為丙申旺角事變。是一場在2016年2月8日夜晚至2月9日早晨（農曆新年年初一至年初二之夜）於香港旺角發生的警民衝突事件。政府方面表示，事件爆發的導火線是食物環境衞生署（食環署）於新年巡邏期間被圍堵、辱罵及衝擊，需要警方協助；而有不少報導指起因是食環署因為取締新年出現的無牌熟食小販，與在場人士發生衝突，因而向警方求助。起初只有小規模衝突，後來警隊移來高台準備實施人群管制時，人群開始堵塞馬路並與警方發生推撞。警方之後動用胡椒噴霧及警棍驅散人群，而示威者開始使用木板、磚頭、火種、玻璃瓶、垃圾桶等雜物襲擊警方，並縱火焚燒雜物阻擋警察推進，有記者被警方和示威者襲擊，有觀點將示威者和警察分別稱呼為「暴徒」和「黑警」。有警員為阻止示威者，兩度向天鳴槍示警，並擎槍指向示威者，更激發示威者更大的對抗，衝突升級。事件造成警員、記者和示威者等多人受傷，數十名示威者被警方拘捕。最高峰時有700多名示威者結集，逾2,000塊地磚被撬。事件到2月9日早上8時後人群逐漸散去才落幕。香港中聯辦、香港特區政府、建制派將本次事件定性為暴亂，而香港民主派則意見不一，但偏向譴責政府和警察造成此次事件發生。香港法院裁定本次事件為暴動，多位參與行動的示威者被判暴動罪成，部分被判囚，其中一被告判囚7年，為香港開埠以來最重的暴動罪判刑。部分正候判，也有部分被通緝。 (zh) Civil unrest occurred in Mong Kok, Hong Kong from the night of 8 February 2016 until the following morning. Kekerasan pecah antara polisi dan pengunjuk rasa. Baton dan penyemprot lada digunakan oleh polisi dan dua tembakan peringatan ditembakkan ke udara, sementara para pengunjuk rasa melemparkan botol kaca, bata, pot bunga dan tempat sampah kepada polisi dan menyalakan api di jalan raya.
