Ademar José Gevaerd (born 1952, also known simply as A. J. Gevaerd) is a Brazilian ufologist, or specialist in the study of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).He is editor of Revista UFO (UFO Magazine), founder and director of the Brazilian Center for Flying Saucer Research (CBPDV) and Brazilian Director for Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Esteve em diversas redes brasileiras de TV, além do Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel e no History Channel, tendo discursado em muitas cidades do Brasil e em outros 50 países, além de ter realizado mais de 700 investigações de campo dos casos de Ovnis no Brasil. É considerado um dos maiores ufólogos do mundo, uma das personalidades máximas do Brasil nesse assunto, membro de várias associações internacionais de ufologia. Considerado um dos mais respeitados ufólogos, é conhecido por seu empenho em tentar amparar todo fenômeno ufológico com o maior número possível de provas e testes. Ainda na década de 1980, foi convidado pelo Dr. J. Allen Hynek para representar no Brasil o Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). Gevarerd sofreu uma queda em casa, no dia 30 de novembro de 2022, no dia 09 de dezembro de 2022 Gevaerd morreu as 6h15min no Hospital Pilar em Curitiba-PR. (pt)
