- The Agrianes (Ancient Greek: Ἀγρίανες, Agrianes or Ἀγρίαι Agriai) or Agrianians, were a tribe whose country was centered at Upper Strymon, in present-day central Western Bulgaria as well as southeasternmost Serbia, at the time situated north of the Dentheletae. Per Strabo the source of the river Strymon was within Agrianes' territory. In the times of Philip II of Macedon, the territory of the Agrianes was administered by Pella. They were crack javelin throwers and an elite unit of Alexander the Great's light infantry, who fought under the command of General Attalus. (en)

- Οι Αγριάνες ή Αγρίανες ή Αγρίες ήταν αρχαίο φύλο που κατοικούσε στην (και γύρω από την) κοιλάδα του άνω Στρυμόνα, μεταξύ των οροσειρών Αίμου και Ροδόπης, δηλαδή σε εδάφη που στις μέρες μας ανήκουν στη δυτική Βουλγαρία και στη νοτιοανατολικότερη Σερβία. Κατά τη ρωμαϊκή περίοδο η περιοχή τους ανήκε στην Επαρχία Δακίας Μεσογείου (Dacia Mediterranea), οριοθετημένη βορείως των Δενθηλητών. Εγκατεστημένοι σε (σχετικά) άγονη περιοχή και ζώντας κυρίως από την κτηνοτροφία, κατατάσσονταν συχνά ως μισθοφόροι για λογαριασμό των Οδρυσών, των Αθηναίων, των Μακεδόνων και των Ρωμαίων. Ειδικότερα, ήταν εξαιρετικοί ακοντιστές και αποτέλεσαν (μεταξύ άλλων) επίλεκτη μονάδα ελαφρού πεζικού του στρατού του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, που πολέμησε υπό τις διαταγές του στρατηγού Άτταλου. (el)
- Die Agrianes (altgriechisch Ἀγριᾶνες) waren ein thrakischer oder päonischer Stamm. Sein Hauptsiedlungsgebiet befand sich am oberen Strymon im heutigen Bulgarien. Die Agrianes werden erstmals im Zusammenhang mit den Feldzügen des persischen Feldherrn Megabazos 511 v. Chr. erwähnt. Später gehörten sie zum Reich der Odrysen und bereits 352 v. Chr. zählten die Agrianes zu den Verbündeten Philipps II. von Makedonien. Langaros, König der Agrianes, unterstützte Alexander den Großen, der sich auf seinen Feldzügen der mit Wurfspeeren bewaffneten leichten Infanterie (Peltasten) der Agrianes bediente. (de)
- Los agrianos (griego Αγριάνες) formaban una tribu tracia que habitaba principalmente al norte del territorio de los medos tracios (no confundir con el pueblo iranio), en la región de Peonia, cerca de las fuentes del río Estrimón. Fueron unos magníficos lanzadores de jabalinas, y la infantería ligera de élite del ejército de Alejandro Magno bajo el mando del general Átalo. Llevaban a la batalla un haz de jabalinas, pero no portaban armadura, y algunos ni siquiera escudo. (es)
- Gli Agriani (in greco antico: Ἀγρίανες, Agrianes) erano una tribù peonio-tracica, che abitava prevalentemente l'area dell'odierno distretto di Pčinja, nella Serbia meridionale, a nord della tribù tracica dei Maedi, situati in ciò che adesso è la Macedonia e la Tracia occidentale. Ai tempi di Filippo II, il territorio degli Agriani era amministrato da Pella.. Come lanciatori di giavellotti di prim'ordine erano un'unità elitaria della fanteria leggera nell'esercito macedone di Alessandro Magno, sotto il comando del generale Attalo. (it)
