Albert Piette (born April 18, 1960, in Namur, Belgium) is a French anthropologist and a professor at the Department of Anthropology at Paris Nanterre University. His research has focused on questions of observation, especially in the religious world. He describes and analyses details and ordinary forms in everyday life - what he named the minor mode of reality.
