Aldersyde is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within the Foothills County. Located between Highway 2 and Highway 2A south of Highway 7, the hamlet is approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) southeast of Okotoks, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of High River and 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Calgary. The Canadian Pacific Railway Aldersyde subdivision runs through the hamlet. The name "Aldersyde" was coined by a first settler for its Scottish sound, although apparently there is no place in Scotland with the same name.
