Aminollah Rezaei (March 22, 1936 in Hamedan - 2004 in Tehran) was an Iranian painter, designer and poet. He was the first person to introduce Surrealist painting to Iran. For this reason, he has been called the father of Iranian surrealist painting. Rezai's paintings range from surreal and symbolic works to black and thoughtful humorous cartoons. Political themes, the precise and elaborate anatomical form, the combination of human and animal limbs, and the deformation of the body are all seen in his paintings. Hence, he was the first person in Iran to paint in the field of surrealism.
