The archaeological site of Grand contains a wide amphitheater and a mosaic of 232m². It is located in the French department of Vosges, in the region Grand Est, in France.It was an ancient Gallo-Roman city named Andésina (15.000-20.000 inhabitants) and now it's a little village called Grand. The amphitheater was built at the end of the 1st century and can contain 17.000 people. The mosaic shows at the center a theater scene of the Phasma of Menander and at the four corners, four animals.

El sitio arqueológico, administrado por el consejo departamental de los Vosgos, incluye un anfiteatro que podía contar con una capacidad de 17.000 asientos, y un mosaico de 232 m² que pavimenta uno de los edificios del recinto, habiendo sido clasificados como monumentos históricos en 1846 y 1884 respectivamente. Las escrituras clásicas mencionan que la zona pudo albergar un santuario dedicado a Apolo Grannus, siendo activa su búsqueda por arqueólogos desde el siglo XIX, si bien con esfuerzos infructuosos. Comme un sanctuaire dédié à Apollon Grannus est mentionné dans différents textes, les archéologues cherchent depuis le XIXe siècle à retrouver ce bâtiment, mais leurs efforts sont restés vains. (fr)
