Artur Martin Rother (12 October 1885 – 22 September 1972) was a German conductor who worked mainly in the opera house. He was born in Stettin, Pomerania (now Szczecin, Poland). His father was an organist and music teacher. He studied under Hugo Kaun and other teachers. By the age of 20, in 1906, he was conducting in Wiesbaden, and was assistant conductor for the Bayreuth Festival 1907-14. He was Generalmusikdirektor in Dessau 1927-34. He died in Aschau im Chiemgau in 1972, aged 86.

Artur Rother var son till Paul Rother, organist och musiklärare i Stettin. Han gick gymnasiet i sin hemstad och fick sina första lektioner i piano, orgel och komposition av sin far. Rother studerade senare hos bland andra Hugo Kaun i Berlin. Från 1906 var han solorepetitör, körmästare och första kapellmästare i Wiesbaden och assistent vid festspelen i Bayreuth 1907–1914. Han var chefdirigent i Dessau 1927–1934. Efter nationalsocialisternas maktövertagandet anslöt han sig, enligt sina egna uppgifter, till "NSDAP:s offerring" 1933.
