| - Autor je v botanické taxonomii člověk – botanik, který popsal určitý taxon. V případě zápisu určitého taxonu se píše za latinský název celý nebo ve zkratce. Známější a zažitější autoři se píší ve zkratce (např. L. – Carl Linné) u méně známých autorů se uvádí jméno celé (Colla – , N. W. Simmonds – ). Jedná se o jméno po otci, které mohou dědit potomci autora. Občas se stává, že pro jednoho autora existuje více zkratek (viz Seznam botaniků a mykologů dle zkratek). Ve starší literatuře se setkáme se jmény, které se dnes již píší zkratkami (např. dříve uváděný Linneaus, dnes L.). Úkolem autora je popsat nový taxon a zveřejnit, případně uložit do herbáře jako . - Auktorsnamn är inom den biologiska systematiken namnet på den person eller den grupp som först använde sig av ett visst vetenskapligt namn för ett visst taxon, exempelvis en art. Detta skall dessutom vara gjort utifrån särskilda kriterier och ha publicerats i skrift. Auktor går tillbaka till latinets auctor som bland annat betyder ”upphovsman” och ”författare”. På svenska används auktor med de betydelserna. Auktorsnamnet förekommer som en förkortning eller ett efternamn, efter det vetenskapliga namnet på ett taxon i en binärnomenklatur (se även taxonomi). Wskazywanie autora nazwy naukowej, zwykle w zapisie skróconym, nazywane jest "cytowaniem" i stosowane jest zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do taksonów rangi rodzaju i niższych. Cytowanie pozwala na dokładne ustalenie co oznacza dana nazwa, bowiem w taksonomii nierzadko te same nazwy używane były w różnych kombinacjach i znaczeniu. (pl)
