Backstairs Passage Glacier (75°2′S 162°36′E / 75.033°S 162.600°E) is a glacier about 2 nautical miles (4 km) long, draining east along the north side of Mount Crummer to the Ross Sea. The Magnetic Pole Party, led by Edgeworth David, of the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907–09, ascended this glacier from the Ross Sea, then continued the ascent via Larsen Glacier to the plateau of Victoria Land. So named by David's party because of the circuitous route to get to Larsen Glacier.

| - Der Backstairs-Passage-Gletscher (von englisch backstair ‚Hintertreppe‘ und passage ‚Durchgang‘) ist ein Gletscher von etwa 4 km Länge im ostantarktischen Viktorialand. In den Prince Albert Mountains fließt er von der Nordflanke des Mount Crummer in östlicher Richtung zum Ross-Meer. Die sogenannte Nordgruppe der Nimrod-Expedition (1907–1909) nutzte den Gletscher auf der Suche nach dem Ort des antarktischen magnetischen Pols als Aufstiegsroute zum Larsen-Gletscher und weiter auf das nördliche Polarplateau. Benannt hat ihn der australische Geologe Edgeworth David, Mitglied der dreiköpfigen Nordgruppe, als ironische Anspielung auf die ungastliche Anmutung von Dienstbotenaufgängen. (de)
