The Battle of Amoy was fought between British and Qing forces at Amoy (present-day Xiamen) on Xiamen Island, Fujian, in the Qing Empire on 26 August 1841 during the First Opium War. The British captured the forts at Xiamen and on nearby Gulangyu Island (formerly Kulangsu Island).

Après avoir pacifié Canton et rouvert la ville au commerce étranger, les Britanniques font route vers Chusan qu'ils avaient déjà capturé l'année précédente avant de l'évacuer. En chemin, ils attaquent la ville portuaire d'Amoy (actuelle Xiamen) située sur une île. Après un bombardement des fortifications sans effet, ils débarquent à terre et s'emparent de la ville sans rencontrer de résistance car les défenseurs avaient fuient durant la nuit en emportant le trésor de la ville dissimulé dans des buches. Amoy étant une ville trop importante pour y laisser une garnison, les Britanniques s'installent alors sur l'île voisine de Gulangyu d'où ils peuvent co (fr)
