| - Benedict Makrai (Latin: Benedictus de Macra, Hungarian: Makrai Benedek, Polish: Benedykt Makrai; 1360s – after 1421) was a well-educated Hungarian noble and diplomat in the service of Sigismund of Luxemburg, King of Hungary and later Holy Roman Emperor. He is best known for his 1412–13 mission to Poland–Lithuania to mediate their territorial dispute with the Teutonic Knights over Samogitia and Masovia in the aftermath of the Battle of Grunwald (1410). His mission did not resolve the dispute and only heightened the tensions. (en)
- Benedict Makrai (in latino: Benedictus de Macra, in ungherese Makrai Benedek, in polacco Benedykt Makrai;; anni 1360 – dopo il 1421) è stato un dotto nobile e diplomatico ungherese.Fu al servizio di Sigismondo di Lussemburgo, re dell'Ungheria e in seguito Imperatore del Sacro Romano Impero. È meglio conosciuto per il suo incarico di mediatore della contesa territoriale tra la Polonia–Lituania e i Cavalieri teutonici sulla Samogizia e la Masovia negli anni 1412-1413 in seguito alla battaglia di Grunwald (1410). La sua mediazione non risolse la contesa e invece acuì le tensioni. (it)
- Benedykt Makrai (Benedykt Makray, łac. Benedictus de Macra) – węgierski rycerz i dyplomata. Benedykt Makrai urodził się w drugiej połowie lat 60. XIV wieku, jego rodzina pochodziła prawdopodobnie z drobnej szlachty komitatu w dzisiejszej Rumunii. Po ukończeniu edukacji w rodzinnym kraju udał się na studia do Pragi, które kontynuował w latach 1383–1387, uzyskując tytuł magistra. Prawdopodobnie w 1390 roku przeniósł się do Wiednia, gdzie wykładał astronomię. Następnie udał się na studia prawnicze do Paryża i kolejno do Padwy. (pl)
