Coon is considered by CBC Radio to be one of Canadas Great Treasures. He is a faculty member at Capilano University, as well as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music. In 1996, Coon was caught lip-syncing his performance at Vancouvers Carnegie Hall. Fans were outraged, and in the following decade Coon struggled to regain his reputation in the music industry. He has remained somewhat reclusive ever since; only playing smaller, occasional gigs throughout the city. (en)
