The Black Diamond (Danish: Den Sorte Diamant) is a modern waterfront extension to the Royal Danish Library's old building on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Its quasi-official nickname is a reference to its polished black granite cladding and irregular angles. Designed by Danish architects Schmidt Hammer Lassen, the Black Diamond was completed in 1999 as the first in a series of large-scale cultural buildings along Copenhagen's waterfront.

(en) Den Sorte Diamant („der schwarze Diamant“), auch Diamanten („der Diamant“) genannt, ist ein kubischer Anbau der Dänischen Königlichen Bibliothek auf der Insel Slotsholmen in der Innenstadt von Kopenhagen. Der Name deutet auf die schwarze, sich neigende Fassade aus poliertem Granit hin. Das siebenstöckige Gebäude beinhaltet in erster Linie öffentliche Funktionen wie Ausstellungsräume, Konferenz- und Lesesäle, Konzertsaal, Café und Buchladen. Auch das „Nationale Fotomuseum“, das „Museum für dänische Karikaturen“ und „Dänemarks Buchmuseum“ sind hier untergebracht. Auf einer Regallänge von rund 160 Kilometer bewahrt das Haus die größte Büchersammlung in Nordeuropa auf – mit 4,8 Millionen Bänden sowie 15 Millionen Manuskripten und grafischen Dokumenten.
